Paris--Day 3!

Joseph, Ms. Alexander & I are at the famous Louvre museum today! Our tour director lead us here & let us loose! We saw a mummy, sphinxes, La Joconde (the Mona Lisa) and some famous works by Italian &mFrench artists. "J'aime la Joconde et les informations!" Joseph said. We also walked on the famous, Champs Élysées!

I want to take a moment to pause. I'm pausing to reflex on how hard I tried to make this trip a reality & how happy I am that we're here.
Some parents resisted. They didn't understand why their kids should travel "over there."
Others scoffed & said, "you're taking THESE kids??! Out the country?!?!!"
I had to keep pushing and like they teach us in graduate school, the foreign language teacher must be an advocate for her students.

I knew ahead of time, what an amazing opportunity this was going to be. If I KNOW this would be the best thing for them, why wouldn't I want to give them the best?

Voilà! Here we are on day 3.... Raiding Paris!
